Suspect Wanted in Downtown Nashville Shooting Turns Himself In

A man wanted in connection with the deadly shooting outside Club La Danse in downtown Nashville has surrendered to Metro Police.

According to investigators, 27-year-old Traivon Bohannon turned himself in Tuesday and is now in custody. He is facing several charges, including criminal homicide, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, unlawful gun possession by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm during a dangerous felony.

The shooting happened early in the morning on May 3 outside the nightclub on Rosa L. Parks Boulevard. Police say gunfire erupted outside the club, leaving 28-year-old Juwaun Lee critically injured. Lee later died on May 6 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Two other people, a 27-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman, were also injured during the shooting.

Metro Police said Bohannon had been wanted on multiple felony charges following the incident. Authorities also say he has previous convictions in Sumner County for carjacking and aggravated robbery.
