Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing Near MTSU All Three Onboard Hospitalized

A small, two-seat aircraft made an emergency landing Tuesday near the Middle Tennessee State University campus in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

The plane went down in a field along the 600–700 block of Clark Boulevard, not far from the MTSU campus and nearby airport. All three people aboard the aircraft were taken to a local hospital, where they’re now listed in stable condition.

According to the Murfreesboro Police Department, the aircraft “was passing through the Murfreesboro area” when it came down. The FAA is now taking over the crash investigation.

MTSU officials confirmed the incident did not impact campus operations, and there’s no indication that the aircraft was connected to the university’s flight program.
