School bus driver arrested after Nashville Crash

A Metro Nashville Public Schools bus driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after crashing a school bus while heading to pick up students, according to police.

The crash happened Wednesday in Nashville while the driver was traveling to begin a student route. Authorities said the bus struck a parked vehicle before officers arrived at the scene.

Police took the driver into custody on a DUI charge following the investigation. No students were on the bus at the time of the crash, and no serious injuries were immediately reported.

Officials have not released the identity of the driver or additional details about what may have led to the collision. The incident remains under investigation.
