Pedestrian Killed After Freight Truck Crash Near Trinity Lane and Gallatin Pike

Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a freight truck Monday afternoon near the intersection of Trinity Lane and Gallatin Pike in Nashville.

Authorities confirmed one person died at the scene. Investigators are still working to identify the victim and notify next of kin.

Officials said it remains unclear whether the pedestrian was in the roadway or on the sidewalk when the crash happened. The area was temporarily shut down as police processed the scene. No additional details have been released at this time.
