A federal grand jury in Nashville has issued a superseding indictment against 20-year-old Elijah Millar of Murfreesboro, adding multiple serious charges to his case stemming from a 2025 incident at a Nashville “No Kings” protest.

Millar was originally charged after allegedly brandishing a handgun during a confrontation at the peaceful downtown rally on June 14, 2025. Authorities say he was arrested at the scene and has remained in federal custody since.

The updated indictment adds two firearms-related charges, along with counts of receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material, including depictions of minors engaged in sexual acts. Prosecutors also allege he unlawfully possessed several firearms, including a Sig Sauer 9mm pistol, a Smith & Wesson .38 revolver, a Mossberg 12-gauge shotgun, and a Walther 9mm pistol. He was previously prohibited from owning firearms due to a mental health-related restriction.

Investigators previously noted concerning online activity tied to Millar, including admiration for Adolf Hitler and mass killers, as well as firearms decorated in reference to notorious perpetrators of mass violence.

The case is ongoing in federal court.
