Nashville’s Fourth of July celebration is going bigger than ever before. Let Freedom Sing! Music City July 4th is marking America’s 250th anniversary with the largest Independence Day event in the city’s history, and the whole thing is free to the public.
Spread across two days on July 3 and 4, the downtown celebration will feature five stages showcasing musicians from a wide range of genres. Stage locations include The Green at Riverfront Park, Public Square Park near the Historic Metro Courthouse, the Jack Daniel’s Broadway Stage at First and Broadway, and Ascend Amphitheater. The fireworks show, paired with a synchronized drone display and a live performance by the Nashville Symphony, is set to be the biggest the city has ever put on.
Beyond the music, organizers are also setting up a kid-friendly Family Fun Zone and a designated sober space for those who want to enjoy the festivities alcohol-free.
Marcus Whitney, chair of the NCVC Board of Directors and founding partner of Jumpstart Health, said the event reflects what makes Nashville unique. He described it as a chance for the community to celebrate in their own backyard with world-class live music while also drawing visitors from around the world and generating real economic impact for local businesses.
