Metro Nashville Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a six-year-old boy, identified as Cyprien Argueta Romero, whose parents brought him to Southern Hills Medical Center late on Friday afternoon. The incident reportedly occurred while he and his sibling were outside the family’s home in the Paragon Mills area, where they were playing as their parents worked in the yard.

Over the weekend, investigators encountered conflicting accounts regarding the exact location of the shooting. Some evidence suggests that the incident may have occurred outside the county. At this time, authorities have not confirmed the precise scene of the injury.

Police clarified that there is currently no indication of involvement by any individuals outside the family; detectives are working to piece together the sequence of events and to determine how and where the shooting occurred.

As the investigation continues, law enforcement is focusing on clarifying the location and circumstances surrounding the tragedy. No further details such as potential suspects or cause have been released, and authorities have not indicated whether the shooting was accidental or intentional.
