Man arrested after drugs, guns, and explosive found in Pulaski

Authorities arrested a man following a search warrant at a home on Strip Mines Road in Pulaski, Tennessee. The Giles County Sheriff’s Department along with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and Pulaski Police carried out the search. They uncovered a cache of drugs, weapons, body armor, cash and an explosive device. 

Law enforcement seized about 59 grams of fentanyl, 79 grams of marijuana, 14 grams of methamphetamine and a large number of pills connected to drug distribution. The operation also led to the discovery of multiple firearms, ammunition and body armor. In addition an explosive device was recovered during the search. 

The man arrested was identified as Nathan Alsup. He is now booked in Giles County Jail facing several serious charges. Among them are possession of fentanyl for resale, methamphetamine for resale and marijuana for resale. 

Alsup also faces charges for using a firearm in a dangerous felony, possession of a prohibited weapon and resisting arrest. The combined charges reflect both drug violations and weapons offenses as well as obstruction of law enforcement.
