Gallatin Police are searching for 33 year old Tra Sweat, who is considered armed and dangerous following an aggravated assault investigation over the weekend.

According to police, the incident happened Sunday around 7:30 p.m. at a residence in Gallatin. Officers say Sweat pointed a handgun at a woman while searching for an unidentified individual who was not there at the time.

About an hour and a half later, he allegedly returned with the person he had been looking for. During that second encounter, police say he again pointed the handgun toward the woman and threatened to kill her after she asked him to leave.

He then left the scene. Authorities say both the Gallatin Police Department and the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office are actively searching for him.

Anyone with information is urged not to approach him and to contact Gallatin Police at 615-452-1313.
