A Nashville man is dealing with damage to his apartment after a fugitive fell through his ceiling during an attempted escape from law enforcement.

According to police, U.S. Marshals were searching for a wanted man with multiple felony warrants when he tried to hide by moving through an attic space between units. While attempting to evade arrest, he ended up falling through the ceiling of a neighboring apartment, landing inside the resident’s living room.

The resident says he wasn’t home during the incident and returned to find a large hole in the ceiling along with debris and insulation scattered across the room. Authorities later arrested the suspect at the scene.

Police also reported that drugs were discovered in the vehicle connected to the suspect, and additional charges were added, including burglary and evading arrest. The resident is now working with his apartment complex to repair the damage.
