The man accused of robbing a McDonald’s in Franklin earlier this month was found dead in Nashville on Wednesday, according to police.

William Bartholomew, 52, was wanted for an armed robbery that took place on June 11 at the McDonald’s on Galleria Boulevard in the Cool Springs area. Police say he entered the restaurant with his face covered, wearing what appeared to be a blanket with a WWE logo, and pointed a gun at employees while demanding money. No one was hurt during the incident.

Investigators said Bartholomew fled the scene in a white Kia Soul, possibly with duct tape covering the license plate.

On June 26, Metro Nashville Police located his body. His cause of death has not been released. An autopsy is underway.

Bartholomew was from Jackson, Tennessee. Franklin police had issued a warrant for his arrest, charging him with aggravated robbery.

The case is now being handled by Metro Nashville detectives. Anyone with more information is encouraged to contact police.
