Daycare in Nashville evacuated due to gas leak, no injuries reported

Emergency crews say children and staff were moved to a safe area in the yard behind the building while Nashville Fire Department hazmat teams monitored air quality and secured the scene. Parents were contacted and asked to pick up their children.

No injuries have been reported. Officials say crews remained on site to ensure conditions were safe and to continue monitoring the area.

A natural gas leak led to the evacuation of Creative Minds Daycare in Nashville after a supply line was accidentally struck with a pickaxe during work at the property.
