Police Searching for Suspect After Shots Fired from Moving Car in South Nashville

Metro Nashville Police are searching for a man accused of firing shots from a moving car late Monday morning in South Nashville.

Officers responded to reports of gunfire around 11:45 a.m. in the 4000 block of Metroplex Drive. Investigators say the suspect was in a black sedan when he fired several rounds before speeding away from the scene.

When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot in the foot. He was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. According to police, the suspect briefly stepped out of the vehicle before opening fire and then got back in and drove off toward I-65.

The suspect has not been identified, and detectives are still working to locate the vehicle involved. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
