The Metro Nashville Police Department is currently investigating a case in which seven firearms were stolen from vehicles parked overnight in Lot N, close to Nissan Stadium. Authorities report that approximately 30 vehicles were broken into during the incident.

This event comes only weeks after staff from the Central Precinct met with construction workers involved in the new stadium project and urged them to avoid leaving any valuables in their cars  . In a recent social media update, MNPD noted that so far this year, 646 guns have been stolen from vehicles in Nashville, including 19 taken just in the previous week.

The department further revealed that within Davidson County, a total of 865 guns were stolen this year, with vehicle-related thefts accounting for about 74 percent of all such cases. This statistic highlights a concerning trend in which vehicles appear particularly vulnerable to gun theft.

Residents and visitors in the stadium area are being reminded to be vigilant and avoid leaving firearms or other valuables unattended in parked vehicles. MNPD continues to investigate the crime and encourages anyone with useful information to contact local authorities.
