Austin Robert Drummond, 28, was taken into custody on August 5, 2025, ending a weeklong manhunt by law enforcement agencies in Tennessee. He had been sought in connection with the execution‑style slayings of four family members in Lake County and the abandonment of a seven‑month‑old infant in Tigrett. The child was discovered unharmed in a car seat on a stranger’s front yard on July 29, prompting the investigation that ultimately led authorities to Drummond, who had become the prime suspect in the quadruple homicide.
The victims—James M. Wilson (21), Adrianna Williams (20), Cortney Rose (38), and Braydon Williams (15)—were all related to the infant. Investigators believe the murders were targeted, possibly reflecting a personal connection between Drummond and the victims. He faces multiple charges, including four counts of first‑degree murder, aggravated kidnapping, possession of a firearm by a felon, and weapons offenses.
During the manhunt, chilling surveillance footage emerged showing Drummond dressed in camouflage, carrying a rifle, and attempting to open doors at a church and loitering near houses and playgrounds in Jackson. Authorities warned residents to shelter in place after recent confirmed sightings, and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) added him to the state’s Most Wanted list.
Several individuals have been arrested for allegedly aiding Drummond. Among them, Tanaka Brown and Giovonte Thomas, both 29, were charged with accessory after the fact to first‑degree murder.
