A teenager was arrested Monday night in connection with a shooting at a short-term rental property in Nashville. The incident occurred early that morning at a residence located at 50 Fern Avenue, near the intersection of Fern Avenue and Brick Church Pike. Metro Nashville Police responded to the scene around 4:50 a.m. on June 2, where they found Myles Vaughn suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg. He was provided medical aid at the scene and later transported to TriStar Skyline Medical Center for further treatment.
According to the arrest affidavit, the shooting stemmed from a dispute over stolen property at a party held at the short-term rental. Montreal Gordon, who had organized the gathering, reportedly invited guests to confront individuals he believed had taken his money and firearms. During the confrontation, Vaughn allegedly pointed a gun at one of the guests, Keshawn Stafford, and demanded that he leave. Simultaneously, another individual, Jaylin McNairy, allegedly held a woman, Zahra Gowani, at gunpoint. As the situation escalated, Vaughn and McNairy reportedly began firing shots at Stafford and Gowani, who then returned fire, striking Vaughn in the leg.
McNairy was arrested later that day and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He is currently being held on a $75,000 bond. Vaughn remains hospitalized at TriStar Skyline Medical Center. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and additional charges may be forthcoming as more information becomes available.
