A man in Nashville has been charged with attempted criminal homicide following a stabbing incident near an Aldi grocery store on Gallatin Pike South. According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the victim was out for a run when he approached the intersection of Maple Street and Brawner Drive and noticed the suspect standing nearby. The victim reported that the suspect suddenly ran at him unprovoked and stabbed him in the neck before fleeing the scene.

Surveillance footage captured the suspect’s actions, aiding investigators in identifying him as 32-year-old Timothy Castille. After receiving medical treatment, the victim participated in a photo lineup and confirmed Castille as the assailant. Castille has been arrested and is currently being held on a $150,000 bond.

The victim’s injuries were serious, but he is expected to recover. The motive behind the attack remains unclear, as the victim and suspect did not have any known prior interactions. Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

This case adds to a series of recent violent incidents in Nashville, including a stabbing at a gas station in the East Bank area and an attempted homicide at a WeGo bus stop in Edgehill. Authorities urge anyone with information related to these or other incidents to come forward to assist in ongoing investigations.
