Early on May 7, 2025, a 56-year-old Nashville man was struck by a vehicle in downtown Nashville while walking with a black trash bag covering his head and body. The driver fled the scene without reporting the incident.
Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) officers found the victim alert and able to describe the event. However, he became combative with medics during transport to the hospital and required sedation.
Detectives are actively seeking information to identify the vehicle and driver involved in this hit-and-run incident.
