Woman Shot Near Nissan Stadium; Police Seek Individuals for Questioning

Early Monday morning, a woman was injured in a shooting near Nissan Stadium in downtown Nashville. Metro Police responded to a 911 call around 4:30 a.m. at 1 Titans Way, where they found a 42-year-old woman who had been shot in both hands while inside a tent near the woods along the Cumberland River. She was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and is currently recovering.

According to the victim and a witness, a group of individuals was involved in a fight nearby when gunshots were heard. The victim reported hearing men arguing about a gun, and the witness stated he attempted to mediate the situation before a physical altercation began. He also noted that one man was armed.

Detectives discovered a bullet hole through the victim’s tent and found evidence of a shooting inside. Surveillance footage captured images of individuals wanted for questioning in connection with the incident. Police are asking anyone who recognizes the people in the photos to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
