A Nashville man wanted in connection with a deadly head-on crash last fall has turned himself in to police, nearly eight months after the collision claimed a man’s life.
Metro PD says James Brewington Jr., 61, surrendered on charges tied to the November 2025 crash that killed 41-year-old Dustin McLeod. Investigators say Brewington was driving south near Bobel Lane when he passed a vehicle that was making a right turn and swerved into oncoming traffic. His Nissan truck collided head-on with a Jeep carrying McLeod as a passenger.
McLeod was rushed to Skyline Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.
Metro PD confirmed Brewington was booked on warrants for vehicular homicide by reckless conduct, reckless endangerment, and three counts of aggravated assault. He is currently being held in the Metro jail on a $135,000 bond.
Court proceedings are expected to move forward soon.
