The Mt. Juliet Police Department has released crime statistics showing a significant rise in the number of arrests this year. So far in 2025, officers have apprehended a total of 574 wanted individuals. This marks a 22 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024 and an even more dramatic 67 percent increase from 2022.

A striking detail from the report is that 518 of those arrested roughly 90 percent were not residents of Mt. Juliet. This suggests that many individuals wanted for various offenses entered the city before being taken into custody.

Police officials attribute the spike in apprehensions to enhanced efforts fueled by technology and strategic operations. The implementation of License Plate Readers has bolstered their capability to identify vehicles linked to warrants. In addition, proactive patrols and a deliberate boost in officer visibility across the city have improved law enforcement reach and effectiveness.

At the same time a positive aspect emerges: Mt. Juliet was named Tennessee’s fourth safest city by SafeWise. The police’s proactive approach to public safety appears to be a key factor in maintaining that ranking.
