CARJACKING SUSPECT KILLED AFTER CONFRONTING DOORDASH DRIVER

A DoorDash driver was involved in a deadly shooting during an attempted carjacking outside a Walgreens in Berry Hill, Nashville, on Saturday.

According to police, the driver had just completed a delivery when he was confronted in the store’s parking lot by a suspect attempting to take his vehicle. During the encounter, the driver was shot.

Despite being injured, the driver returned fire during the confrontation. The suspect was struck and died at the scene. The driver was also injured in the exchange and was taken for medical treatment.

Investigators say the situation unfolded quickly in the parking lot, and it remains under review as they work to determine the full sequence of events leading up to the shooting.

No other injuries have been reported. Police continue to investigate and are asking anyone with additional information to come forward.
