Clarksville police responded late Tuesday night to a reported shooting near 495 Ringgold Road.  When officers arrived just after 9:30 p.m., they found a 20-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound.  He was immediately transported by ambulance to Tennova Healthcare, though his condition has not been disclosed.

To assist with the ongoing investigation, authorities closed a section of Ringgold Road between 101st Airborne Division Parkway and Fort Campbell Boulevard overnight.  The closure lasted until about 3:30 a.m., during which time officers conducted a search for the suspected shooter.

According to law enforcement, the suspect is described as having shoulder-length dreadlocks and was last seen wearing gray sweatpants and a hoodie.  Investigators are actively seeking tips from the public to locate the individual and are urging anyone with relevant information to call 911.

At this time, no arrests have been reported, and the motive behind the shooting remains under investigation.  The Clarksville Police Department continues to gather evidence and interview witnesses as they work to resolve the case.
