Nashville wants WWE to bring WrestleMania to Music City, and the city is putting serious money on the table to make it happen.
According to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, Nashville has submitted a $3.5 million bid to host WrestleMania in 2028. The offer also includes tax breaks for WWE if the company accepts. There is no word yet on whether WWE will take the deal.
This comes after reports surfaced that New Nissan Stadium was in the running to host WrestleMania 43 in 2027, a bid that ultimately did not pan out. Instead, WWE will take its flagship event overseas for the first time, with WrestleMania 43 set to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Nashville is no stranger to major WWE events. The last big premium live event held in the city was SummerSlam 2022, which was headlined by Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar in a Last Man Standing match.
As for 2028, WWE has not announced an official host city. The company currently has agreements in place with Indianapolis and New Orleans, making Nashville’s bid a competitive push for a spot that has not yet been locked in.
WrestleMania 42 was held in Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium, making it the second straight year the event took place in the same city. That marked the first back-to-back WrestleMania at one location since 1988 and 1989, when Atlantic City hosted the event two years running.
WWE’s next premium live event is Backlash, scheduled for Saturday, May 9.
