Fire crews in Clarksville responded Friday evening to a house fire on Cobblestone Lane after a call reported a garage ablaze. When responders arrived, they saw flames and smoke coming from the garage area, which is attached to the main home.

All the occupants were already outside by the time crews got there. The firefighters acted quickly and were able to extinguish the blaze before it spread into the rest of the home.

Though the garage sustained damage, the main structure escaped major harm. Officials say they have contacted the American Red Cross to assist the affected family. No injuries have been reported.

At this time, the cause of the fire remains under investigation. Fire officials are working to determine what sparked the blaze.
