A woman was arrested by the Mt. Juliet Police Department after a routine traffic stop revealed she was wanted on outstanding warrants. The stop occurred Sunday afternoon when officers pulled over a vehicle for a brake light violation. At that time, they discovered the 25-year-old driver had warrants in Nashville for felony aggravated assault and vandalism.

Officials also found an unrestrained child in the car and cited the woman for that as well. During booking, jail staff discovered marijuana on her person, leading to an extra charge of possessing drugs inside a penal institution.

The authorities did not release her identity. She is now facing charges tied to the warrants in Nashville and the drug possession found during the arrest.
