The Nashville Fire Department is relocating its headquarters this week while renovations take place. Officials say they will temporarily move operations to a facility at 63 Hermitage Avenue so that construction can begin on a new Station 2 and a modern NFD Headquarters.
During the transition, all in-person deliveries and other business must be handled at the temporary location through Monday, October 6. However, the department’s mailing address will remain the same. The fire department warned that community members and partner organizations may notice delays in responses for face-to-face matters.
The department asked people with specific business needs to reach out directly to the personnel they usually work with during this period. The temporary relocation is designed to allow uninterrupted service to the city while the permanent headquarters and station are built.
This plan reflects Nashville’s effort to modernize its fire infrastructure and improve service capacity. Once the construction is complete, the new facilities should offer updated, efficient space for both administrative and operational functions of the fire department.
