Nashville International Airport will close its existing Concourse A beginning Wednesday, September 24. This is part of BNA’s New Horizon expansion program. The plan calls for demolition of the old concourse and a full reconstruction.

The closure date was originally set for October 3 but was moved up following an announcement on September 17. Airport officials thanked airline partners, concessionaires, and contractors for their cooperation in accelerating the closure.

The new Concourse A is scheduled to open in July 2028. When finished it will include 16 gates, two moving walkways, and both indoor and outdoor passenger spaces. It is intended to be the largest concourse at BNA.

This project follows recent expansions, including the opening of Concourse D. That development added new gates, restaurants, shops, an outdoor terrace, and moving walkways. Overall the work is part of the broader $3 billion New Horizon growth plan.
