Heavy police response at Putnam County school

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies were dispatched to White Plains Academy on Wednesday morning in Algood, Tennessee. They said there was a heavy law enforcement presence at the school.

Officials described the situation as an isolated incident. They emphasized that there is no danger to nearby schools or the surrounding community.

Law enforcement urged residents to avoid the area so officers can do their work safely and effectively. The sheriff’s office asked the public to allow space for response efforts and to not interfere with the ongoing investigation.

The sheriff’s office reiterated that the safety of students and staff remains their top priority. They asked for cooperation in staying clear of the location while deputies handle the matter.
