Serious injuries reported after West Nashville collision

Two people were critically injured Friday night after a collision between a car and a truck in West Nashville. Metro Nashville Police responded to White Bridge Pike near Corbett Lane following reports of the crash. 

Officials say a man and a woman suffered serious wounds in the collision. Both were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. Their current condition has not yet been released by authorities. 

The crash forced a closure of White Bridge Pike. Emergency crews remained on the scene working to clear the wreckage and manage traffic. 

At this time investigators are gathering more information to determine what caused the collision. This is a developing story and more details are expected to be provided by Metro Nashville Police.
