A suspect has been taken into custody in the fatal shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, according to President Donald Trump and Utah law enforcement.

Here’s what we know so far:

The suspect has been identified as Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old from Utah.

Trump stated with “a high degree of certainty” that authorities now have the right person in custody.

Utah Governor Spencer Cox confirmed the arrest and said a family friend had tipped off law enforcement after Robinson made statements suggesting responsibility.

Evidence cited includes messages from the suspect on Discord, engravings on bullet casings found at the scene, and surveillance imagery.

Robinson was arrested Thursday night.
