Victims Injured in Violent Attack on Downtown Nashville Bridge

In the early hours of Sunday, Metro Nashville detectives began investigating a violent assault involving four unidentified suspects on a pedestrian bridge. Authorities said several victims and bystanders were suddenly confronted by the group, none of whom were known to them. The suspects reportedly brandished firearms and launched an unprovoked attack, sparking an immediate police search.

One victim recalled how a suspect swung a rifle like a baseball bat, striking him directly in the face. The blow left the 23-year-old man bloodied and in need of urgent medical attention. Another victim said they were hit in the head with a pistol, while a third reported being punched during the chaos.

Paramedics transported the man who was struck with the rifle to a nearby hospital for treatment. His current condition has not been released. The other victims also suffered head trauma, though officials did not share details about the severity of their injuries.

Police believe the suspects are in their late teens to early 20s and that they fled in a gray Chrysler 300. Detectives are urging anyone who recognizes the individuals from surveillance images to contact Nashville Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Investigators continue working to track down those responsible and are asking for the public’s help in moving the case forward.
