On Saturday afternoon at approximately 3 p.m., Chattanooga police responded to reports of gunfire at Tyner Community Center park, located on Ty Hi Drive. According to authorities, a dispute broke out among a group of people who were attending a gathering at the park. Moments later, multiple shots were fired, and officers arriving at the scene discovered four individuals suffering from gunshot wounds  .

The four shooting victims were quickly transported to nearby hospitals. Authorities confirmed that none of their injuries were life-threatening, though each patient required medical treatment for bullet wounds. The swift response by emergency personnel helped to stabilize those injured and prevent any fatalities.

Investigators from the Chattanooga Police Department’s homicide unit have since taken over the case. They are actively working to identify suspects, determine the weapon(s) used, and piece together the exact events that led to the outbreak of gunfire. Law enforcement officials are now appealing to the public for assistance, requesting anyone with information or video recordings of the incident to contact their tip line at 423‑698‑2525.

Adding context to the incident, local media reported that a large class reunion was taking place in the park at the time of the shooting, which reportedly caused scenes of “mass panic and confusion” as attendees scrambled for safety. Chattanooga police initially urged residents to steer clear of the area until they could confirm that the scene was secure and there was no ongoing threat to the public
