Back-to-Back Shootings in Madison Leave One Dead One Hospitalized

A teenager is dead and a woman injured after two separate shootings occurred within minutes of each other late Tuesday night in Madison.

The first shooting happened around 11:53 p.m. at the Twice Daily gas station on Whites Creek Pike. Officers found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the arm. She was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A suspect was quickly located on foot, and a firearm was recovered at the scene.

Just four minutes later, at 11:57 p.m., police were called to The Harris apartment complex on Walker Terrace, near Old Hickory Boulevard, for a second shooting. Investigators say a domestic dispute led to gunfire after a female resident called family members for help. When one male relative arrived, he was confronted by the suspect, who allegedly opened fire. The victim, believed to be in his early 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect was taken into custody shortly after.

Police have not released the names of those involved, and investigations into both incidents are ongoing.
