Early Monday morning, a woman was injured in a shooting near Nissan Stadium in downtown Nashville. Metro Police responded to a 911 call around 4:30 a.m. at 1 Titans Way, where they found a 42-year-old woman who had been shot in both hands while inside a tent near the woods along the Cumberland River. She was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and is currently recovering.
According to the victim and a witness, a group of individuals was involved in a fight nearby when gunshots were heard. The victim reported hearing men arguing about a gun, and the witness stated he attempted to mediate the situation before a physical altercation began. He also noted that one man was armed.
Detectives discovered a bullet hole through the victim’s tent and found evidence of a shooting inside. Surveillance footage captured images of individuals wanted for questioning in connection with the incident.
