NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Dec. 24, 2025) — A member of the Wilson County Board of Education has resigned following a pair of mid-December arrests tied to charges of indecent exposure. The action was confirmed Tuesday by the county attorney and the former board member’s legal representative.

Donnell Self, 51, had been serving as the representative for Zone 5 on the school board when he was arrested on December 16 on two counts of indecent exposure. A subsequent arrest on December 19 added additional counts of indecent exposure and a charge of criminal attempt.

County officials said Self resigned from his position in response to the legal issues. The Lebanon Police Department indicated that more charges could be forthcoming as the investigation continues.

Law enforcement encouraged anyone with information related to the case to contact their department.
