Escaped inmate may be in Middle Tennessee

At least one of the three inmates fled from custody in Madison County and was seen at a home in Jackson on the day they escaped, according to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding that sighting and trying to determine who saw the inmate and how long he was at that location.

The Sheriff’s Office has stated that the escape could involve more than just the initial breakout itself. They are exploring whether the inmate has connections or safe havens in Middle Tennessee. Law enforcement is asking residents to report any suspicious activity or possible sightings in Jackson or nearby areas.

Efforts are underway to track the inmate’s movements since the escape. Local law enforcement agencies in Madison County are coordinating with state officials to canvass neighborhoods and conduct interviews. They are also reviewing any surveillance video that might shed light on where the inmate went immediately after fleeing.

The community is being asked to remain vigilant. Anyone with information is urged to contact local authorities. The Sheriff’s Office emphasizes that public reports are critical to locating escaped inmates and ensuring public safety.
