Tennessee may have some of the stricter adult content laws in the country, but that did not stop residents from opening their wallets on OnlyFans last year. According to a study by OnlyGuider, an OnlyFans search engine, Tennesseans spent a total of $36.3 million on the platform in 2025, averaging roughly $99,452 every single day.
Despite the large dollar figure, Tennessee ranked near the bottom nationally when it came to per capita spending, sitting at just $50K per person. The only state that spent less was Mississippi, which came in at $13.7 million total and $46K per capita. Tennessee’s total accounted for just 1.4% of the entire U.S. OnlyFans market, which reached nearly $2.63 billion in 2025.
Washington D.C. led the country with $129K per capita, followed by North Dakota, Nevada, Colorado, Illinois and Arizona. In the Southeast, Georgia was the biggest spender at $87.4 million total and $78K per capita, ranking 24th in the nation. Several other Southern states also ranked above Tennessee, including Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, South Carolina, Kentucky, Alabama, Louisiana and Arkansas.
Nashville Tops Tennessee’s City Rankings
When broken down by city, Nashville led the state with $9.6 million spent on OnlyFans in 2025, which translated to $138K per capita and a national city ranking of 44th. Knoxville came in second with $2.4 million total and $132K per capita. Chattanooga followed with $1.3 million and $74K per capita. Clarksville spent $965K at $59K per capita, and Memphis rounded out the list with $3.1 million total but only $48K per capita.
What the Law Says
Tennessee is one of nearly 25 states with regulations around online pornography. The most recent addition to that framework was the Protect Tennessee Minors Act, passed during the 2024 General Assembly and now fully in effect. The law requires commercial websites hosting content considered harmful to minors to implement age verification before granting access. Platforms that fail to comply can face civil penalties and legal action from both the state and private individuals, including parents and guardians.
OnlyFans itself requires all users to be at least 18 years old. The platform, founded in the U.K. in 2016, began as a general subscription service before quickly evolving into the go-to platform for paid adult content. In 2025, the U.K. government passed the Online Safety Act, requiring OnlyFans to add age verification tools and improve content moderation transparency.
Tennessee currently has more than 26,000 OnlyFans creators who generate around $34 million a year on the platform.
